Introduction:- The circuit we are going to make is Battery  indicator. In this circuit, we will use IC LM3914. This IC is the heart of this circuit. In this Circuit we will use LED Bar Graph, resistors and other types of component. You can Buy them from the given link.


Working:- This circuit is used to determine the battery percentage/level remaining of any 9v/12v battery.




Circuit Diagram:-




So if you want to make this Project, You Need the following Components 



1) IC LM3914 and its Base 
2) Resistors:- 4.7k, 18k, 56k ohm
3) 10 LED or LED Bar Graph
4) 2 Terminal Connector
5)9v Battery and its connector
6) Push Button
7)10k Variable Resistor
8)Wires

Construction:- 

1) Insert IC base into zero pcb.


2) Solder it. Learn How to solder.

3) Insert a resistor of 56k in front of pin no.3 and solder it.
      Learn what is Resistor.


4) Interface it with pin no.3.

5) Insert a resistor of value 18k in front of pin no.4 and solder it.

6) Insert it with pin no.4.

7) Insert variable resistor at the other end of resistor of value 56k and solder it.


8) Interface one pin of variable resistor to other end of resistor of value 56k. 

9) Insert a resistor of value 4.7k in front of pin no.7, and solder it.

10) Interface 4.7k resistor to pin no.7.

11) Sort pin no. 6 and 7. 

12) Take a wire and solder it to pin no.2 and its another end to another side pin of variable resistor, along with another side of resistor 18k, along with another side of  resistor 4.7k.

13) Now take a wire and solder its one end to pin no.8 and another one to the wire going on in Step 12).

14) Now insert two terminal connector (or 12v battery connector) continue wire of Step 12 and solder it to one of the pin of two terminal connector.

15) Now insert LED bar graph and solder it.

16) Check the positive and negative pin of led bar graph with the help of multi meter.

17) Solder the positive legs of  LED bar graph together.

18) Take a wire, solder its one end to positive pins of led bar graph and another end to pin no.3.

19) Interface all the negative pins of  led bar graph to given pins of IC as shown in circuit diagram.

20) Take a push button/switch, interface its one end to pin no.9 and another to positive pins of led bar graph.

21) Now take a wire and interface positive pins of led bar graph to another pin of two terminal connector.

22) Interface pin no.5 to front pin of variable resistor.

23) Now connect battery connector or 12v supply.

24) Rotate variable resistor to its full potential.

25) Connect the Battery you want to check and led bar graph will display the level of  battery.

26) If 2 led will glow then the total level of battery remaining is 20% andif 8 led will glow then the total level of battery remaining is 80%.
